On Gambling on the Richter Scale, their first full-length, San Francisco's Kowloon Walled City add a touch of finesse to the grinding pummel introduced on last year’s Turk Street EP, which drew comparisons to Neurosis, The Melvins and other low-end explorers, from the ‘90s AmRep roster to the current crop of sludgecore contenders. These eight new crushing tracks unleash a barrage of noisy, down-tuned hardcore and sludge.
Recently repressed, this second pressing of 500 copies is available on silver (limited to 300) and black (limited to 200) and comes packaged this time in a beefy 5mm, reverse board full color jacket. We decided to not include a CD with this second pressing, but you can find a free download of the album below.
Update: I recently got a return of some CLEAR copies from the first pressing. These have some minor corner dings and come with a cd packaged in simple, hand-screened sleeve (but not the full cd packaging included with the stand alone CD version).
